Hi there!

If you purchase the Modern News theme on WordPress.com, it will use the Genesis framework in the background.

However, if you purchase Modern News for your WordPress.com blog, you can't download the theme or framework to use elsewhere. You'll only have access to it on your WordPress.com blog.

If you want to purchase the framework + theme to use on a self-hosted installation of WordPress, you'll need to purchase them from StudioPress directly.

I would like to purchase the Modern News Theme from the WordPress site to use with my news related blog. After some research, I found that the StudioPress site noted that it's News theme (seems to be the same as WP Modern News) included the Genesis Framework.

My question is this: Does the WordPress Modern News theme include the Genesis framework?

I feel that it does, considering the News theme from StudioPress is only $24.95 IF you already have the Genesis Framework ($59.95). I just want to be certain, since the cost on the WordPress site is a few dollars cheaper than buying it directly from StudioPress ($75 vs. $79.95). Thanks!
