Your page does load slowly. I'd suggest that you start a new thread about that specific issue. As far as I can see, it is not a wp.com systemic problem: I don't have trouble loading other wp.com sites. And I doubt the video embeds are a problem…

The staff works on changes and improvements here constantly and implements them for all wp.com users. Our blogs are more "up-to-date" than the users on wp.ORG because things here are possibly experimental, definitely updated constantly, and because all of us users of wp.com are hosted as subdomains of wp.com, our software is always the latest version.
