Thanks for everyone's input.

I knew it had to take time but in all the various websites I've worked with, this was certainly a new experience. I'm also used to having my own server and having a bit more control so I just wanted to make sure I had done the right thing. Like I said earlier, I knew I was being impatient but I also knew I only had 48 hours to delete my domain mapping so I figured getting a head start would be better than waiting too long and being stuck.

Hi,

http://bigbenford.co.uk/ appears to be working properly.

As mentioned earlier, it can take domain changes up to 72 hours (though usually much less) to propagate to your ISP. Unfortunately, we have no control over this as it all depends on how often your ISP refreshes their DNS cache.

Please let us know if you have any more questions!

I own my own domain from another registrar and have now paid and followed directions in the articles and have upgraded my wordpress.com blog to include my domain. I haven't given it time yet (I apologize for my impatience) but so far, the URLs just bounce back and forth between bigbenford.co.uk and bigbenford.wordpress.com in what seems to be an endless loop. Where did I go wrong? If I park my domain at the registrar's website (iPower.com), I get a parked page, regardless of what I've done in my wordpress dashboard.

Thanks in advance for any wisdom anyone can provide.
