Hello, IDK if anyone else has this problem, but I purchased my custom domain from Blog[dot]com, and it says that my registrar is KEY-SYSTEMS GMBH. I have recently purchased/upgraded domain mapping from WordPress, and they've emailed me twice, letting me know that it's already active, but I need to update my DNS settings.

I have been trying to do this for the past 3 days to no avail. Please, can anyone more knowledgeable on this help me? It's getting really frustrating. :(

Thank you for your guidance, but is there any way someone can talk me through the process? I am so inexperienced (and intimidated by) dealing with these issues, and was hoping there would be some sort of customer support facility at wordpress who could walk through each step :).

We do not support mapping via A records as we do not offer static IPs.

You will need to map your domain following this guide http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/ which requires you to change your nameservers to ours. Please see the guide for details.

I have spoken with the company who I am currently registered with, and this is what they said:

We need an IP address for the A name (or MX Record). More than likely they will not provide that information so in that case they will need to ensure that your email is still with us and they will need our IP Address: 63.***.***.***. If they do make any changes we need to know exactly what they did so that we can counter it to ensure you continue to receive your email.

What shall I do? Sorry for being so clueless, and thank you very much for your help!

Hello there,
I believe you want to purchase a domain mapping upgrade and then map from your .wordpress.com to your existing domain. If so then click those links and proceed.
