To have top navigation, you will have to choose a theme that has it. Then you can use the custom menu at the top.

Did you select your custom menu from the pulldown there and then save?

I watched the tutorial about customizing menus and followed all the instructions but it doesn't seem to work. Do I have to have a particular theme that supports drop downs for this to work?

Basically I want to put "about me", "about blog" etc... under the menu title "About".

Could I please have some help?
