You're welcome..and welcome to WordPress. When you have time, explore the FAQ for a lot of good info and shortcuts. There's one called What do all the icons mean? if anything in the toolbar isn't self-explanatory.

I thought you might be looking at a cached copy but I don't see pink either.

Try this: in visual editor, click on the icon at the far right (kitchen sink). That will open the extended toolbar. Somewhere on the left is an icon for text color.

Highlight the text you want to color, click on the icon and choose your color.

I am new to WordPress and just starting my blog. I am familiar with blogger, so although I am new to WordPress I am familiar with blogging terminology and overall functionality in regards to posting and such. Anyway, when I created my blog in WordPress, there is a default HOME and ABOUT page(s) for me. So I wanted to edit the ABOUT page. From the Dashboard I can see that I have Pages(1) which is my About page. So I click on it and it opens for me to edit. I edited all the text, made some of it bold. This was in VISUAL mode. Then I went to HTML mode and added some code to the <p> paragraph tag. I added style="color:A5565C" inside the given paragraph tags. When I click back to VISUAL I can see it perfectly -- it's a dark pink color. However, when I click SAVE, my blog has not be updated. When I edit the Published area and reset the date/time to re-publish, it published and shows the new date/time I set, but the changes are not updated on my blog. When I go back to edit the page, I see it perfectly there (still) - I see the pink lettering.

What else/where else do I have to change it so the pink lettering will appear in my blog as it appears in the VISUAL mode of editing the page?

My wordpress blog is: http://heatherporto.wordpress.com. Then go to the About Me page and you'll see what I mean.
