So what would be the main reason for eliminating popular tags? I realize it's just a computer-generated link to the fire hose of the most recent blog posts published in real time with the subject tag.

However it does give anyone not familiar with Word Press or with blogging, a range of blog "examples" on what people write and how they write it.

I am not certain why there is a link to Matt. I realize he is the CEO, but for the lay audience, we're not hanging onto what he is doing/thinking. The developer/IT world might be more interested.

We're more interested in new/changes to features to Word Press. Also ideas /experiences of other bloggers (though he blogs also).
