Thanks, absurdoldbird. I changed my reading settings, saved them, and sent a test email. We'll see if it works.

If your reading settings are set only to show excerpts you won't see images in email notifications. Go to your dashboard, then click on Settings, then on 'Reading' and on the page where you see 'For each article in a feed, show' click on 'full text'. Then scroll down and click the 'save changes' button

Hi, I thought that when email notifications were sent out for new published posts that an image appeared in the notification, but that isn't the case (Facebook posts include a choice of images). Why is this? I am using the theme MistyLook and there is no button "use this featured image." Thanks!
