I noticed my church has a wordpress site with a "wordpress.com" ending in the url and it has embedded flash based mp3 player widgets embedded in each post where you can click the play button and hear a sermon. I thought this would be great for another small church I know of and decided to create a wordpress account for this very purpose. After setting up my new wordpress.com account I couldn't find out how to put in the mp3! After some searching it seemed that plugins are only possible with "wordpress.org". I get that. It is a more secure site not subject to potentially buggy plugins. But, does this mean that there is no way to play mp3 files with wordpress.com? I jumped over to wordpress.org to check it out, but it seems you have to download the code and install it your own server. This seems like a lot of extra work just to get embedded mp3 files to work. Is there anything I can do or do I just have to deal with it? Thanks.
