My suggestion is to change themes temporarily. Doing that will remove all sense of urgency and your concern about what some readers experience.

In my blog I use footer, but when we use a webkit browser like Chrome/Chromium or Safari, the footer it's shown al the top of the sidebar.

I've made one entry in my blog just for reader's feedback and they checked about the bug. Here you can see the bug cap. and the comments. It's in Spanish.
