A Facebook Page is for a business or a fan page or something like that.

Don't enter the URL in the twitter widget. Just enter the username.

I'm not sure I understand the difference in the profile page & page. I have put both my profile page & just the fb url, & the error continues.

Also when I enter the twitter url it removes the "/" & creates an error too.

If so then it means you have placed the URL for a Facebook profile page into the Facebook likebox widget instead of the URL for a Facebook page.
