I'm writing because I exported my wordpress.com blog as xml to import into my self hosted wordpress blog. When I imported the XML as a WordPress import, as directed by the instructions, 2 weird things happen:

1. some of the posts get imported twice, the latter import with no images

2. some of the posts have fuzzy images, or the images are corrupt, though they're all perfect on my wordpress.com site.

I'm not sure what's happening here, but I'd love any assistance you can provide.
