When you use windows live writer to create you posts and to publish them to your blog from it there will be a copy of every post and page you create in a file on your computer. As you did not do that previously there is not way that it can be done now using it.

You will have to copy and paste every one of them. there is no way around this.

If you open the XML export file in anything other than a plain text editor you will corrupt the file. There is no other version that can be provided here.

Why can't I see it? I've tried multiple times and ways to use the export file to create a pdf or some other human readable file format I can save and read and it doesn't work. I can't even see the anything when I open it in a web browser. Maybe I'm missing something extraordinarily simple, but I'm lost. I want to save all my posts in a file on my computer that I can read. I don't want to load this up to a different site. help!

I want to backup and export private posts, but when I use the XML export tool, they do not get included. 1) Why does that happen, it's annoying 2) How do I export the private posts? I REALLY don't want to have to copy and paste them all into Word documents or something, it would take hours.
