I'm assuming you exported it from Dashboard>Tools>Export? http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/

I just did mine (thanks for reminding me) and all I got was an .xml file.

Can you try it using a different browser?

I regularly export my blog for that extra bit of security. I noticed today that recent exports have had a double extension : .xml.ychat which is weird because it then thinks it is a yahoo chat file and wants to open it with the chat application. I can fix it be deleting the .ychat extension but that is a bit tedious. Is this happening to anyone else? I am on a Mac working through Safari. This did not happen when I first exported, but I hadn't been checking recent exports so am not sure exactly when this started to occur.
