@timethief - The problem that I am having is that I already have all of that stuff set up; when I get ready to publish a post, I click on the box to "Publicize" the post, but it isn't allowing me to do that. (I was able to do that until a couple of days ago)

And it is still doing it, even after I restart my computer.

I am just glad that I'm not the only one who is experiencing this problem!

I am not Staff. This is a peer support forum and I am a Volunteer ie. a fellow blogger. I did not email you. We Volunteers do not provide support by email or by telephone.

I'm sorry Facebook timelines are confusing to you but we don't provide support for them here at WordPress.com. These are the instructions for Facebook integration.

I tried getting some help from the staff and I got one post that said anytime I need help they are here. However, in a separate email I got an admonishment to use the tutorials, and with the following comment by the same staffer who said they would help anytime:
:Please read the information and proceed as indicated, understanding that those who answer questions here are multitasking and not in a position to mentor any unpaid clients while they work. :):

I just went to my FB profile and found it is now the new timeline format. I hat that one! It is so confusing! Definitely NOT user friendly!
Will try the connecting to FB again today and see what happens. What these staff members don't realize is that there are people who learn better by example than by the written word!

I'm having the same problem - I check the Facebook box, but then I get a message that I need to connect to FB. I click on the link in the message, it tells me that I am now connected, but it still doesn't show up as a checked box when I update the post. (It also doesn't post in FB)

I am quite confused, as when I go to the "Sharing" page on the dashboard - like the previous commenter - it shows that I am connected to FB.

This just started happening; I am wondering if it might have something to do with having to update my Facebook page (I had to choose a new password, per their request). I am still able to share through Twitter.

ANY help that you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

My explanation above to lisavproulx is made to a person who is having issues with a connection she previously set up. She is not starting from scratch as you are.

I see you are still waiting for a Staff response. Perhaps you would like to try an alternative to using Publicize. If so you can use Networked Blogs http://www.networkedblogs.com/ or RSS Grafitti http://www.facebook.com/RSS.Graffiti for posting to Facebook walls if you prefer.

RSS Graffiti periodically checks the RSS/Atom feeds that you specify and posts any new entries it finds to the Facebook Walls that you specify.

You can get any feed written on any wall (Facebook Profiles, Fan Pages, Groups, Events and Application Profile Pages). In fact, multiple feeds to multiple walls. You choose the combination.
