I did however learn about the usefulness of alt tags. Still - what is the correct way to display a photo on the home page of mixfolio. While all are currently working on my site beyondthebrushphotography.wordpress.com I don't know how I achieved that - strange I know. On first try photo only shows on post page - then I go back in in frustration and upload again looking for 'featured image' which I can't find and generally getting more frustrated and then - boop - it appears on home page. Not a satisfactory way of getting it there - What is the correct way to do it?

With the change in uploading media I can't find a 'use as featured image' button and initially my photo does not show on the home page in the featured spot - only 'image missing'. Later it has suddenly appeared. What is the process here that I should be following?

To upload a document and add its download link to a blog post or page see the information at these links:

If you want to embed the document itself into a post, then you will have to use a third party application like Scribd or Google Docs.

I am trying to insert a pdf but though the wordpress allows me to select the file, the only option given is to 'delete permanently': the pdf does not show in the image tiles in the middle of the pop up and there are now other ways apparent to insert the pdf. Any thoughts?
