You are correct. Both themes only show featured images in the actual sliders. There are few themes that show videos in featured sliders. For example, Sundance and Selecta. Check them out!

I would like to know how to sticky/feature a post which has only a youtube video? As far as I can tell right now, neither Oxygen, nor Twenty Eleven is showing the video posts properly in the rotating carasoul.
