The oddest part is the feeds individually work. That is if I give the flickr widget the flickr rss feed, the images show up. If I give the flickr widget the smugmug rss feed, the images show up as well. But once I put them through pipes, I only get the text.

I get the following:

pictures

Pipes Output

Marco

jmrodri posted a photo:

...

IIRC, the widget looks at the description tag for "img src" and tries to replace _m.jpg wth _t.jpg and uses that for the photourl. But the HTML output contains empty for the photourl:

Actually that pipes link doesn't load for me. This is what i get:

- <!-- m5.pipes.re3.yahoo.com uncompressed/chunked Mon Jun 18 10:46:03 PDT 2007

Do you get anything more than that?

I'm looking at the verson of the flickr widget that I have and I don't see anything hardcoded. I can see where teh urls for the images and all that are taken from.

Are you sure about that pipes url?

No, I'm trying to figure out what the widget in wordpress.com expects. I installed the widget at home to see if I could figure it out, but there has to be some coding differences between the widget I installed and the one used at wordpress.com. My blog is zeusville.wordpress.com.

well if you have a plugin installed, then you're at teh wrong site. You need to be over at http://wordpress.org as that's teh site for the support of the software.

There's too many differences between the softwares to support both of them here.

What does the flickr widget need to extract the thumbnail images from the feed? I'm trying to merge my flickr and smugmug RSS feeds using Yahoo! pipes. When I install the flickr widget in my local install of wordpress (2.1) the feed works fine. But using the same feed url in my wordpress.com widget shows either the More Photos link or it shows the titles of the images. But it never shows the thumbnails.

Here's my Yahoo! pipes feed: http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.run?_id=0LpT5tEc3BG4bhe8y6ky6g&_render=rss
The plugin I have installed locally is this one: http://donncha.wordpress.com/flickr-widget/
