I only worked this out when I realized a blog I follow (jenniferbresnick.com) appeared not to have posted in some time. When I checked the blog manually, the most recent post is from June 13, 2012, but it is not in my Reader at all.

I don't believe it's a URL redirect issue; a separate blog (kanatyler.com) appears regularly in my Reader. I don't have email notifications set up for any of these.

Has anyone come across this issue before? I'm worried I'm missing some useful (and important) information.
