I'm sorry to hear that. I usually post videos and Nishita presents them in a nice larger-than-usual format and it's design stays "out of the way" and isn't distracting. Kind of hard to find in the free themes.

Any suggestions on an alternate theme that displays videos in the larger size as well as displays archives in full format?

Nishita has been designed to show only the title and the date for archive pages and there is no option to change it. There are many themes that shows full content in archive pages and I'd suggest to look other themes that display full content in archive pages.

I seem to recall a full text view for tag and search lists but I can't find a switch or such to enable it. The theme is Nishita.
