Where are you seeing the 'tiny sun' icon? Are you seeing it on your blog or on your dashboard or on the home page? (The home page is the one you reach by clicking any of the options from the dropdown menu accessed by clicking the little 'W' icon on the grey admin strip at the top of any page when you're logged in.)

I'm wondering if it's the little cog-like icon on the home page at the top far right, which should open up your account and other settings (WordPress.com are annoyingly moving some things from the dashboard to the home page, hopefully not to replace the dashboard but we have our suspicions that it might be). The reason I wonder if it's that is some people are having problems seeing their Reader (where some people read blogs they are subscribed to (following) and instead see a loading icon that never completely loads.

@jessie - slysilverfox's URL is http://specialspice.wordpress.com and I'm not sure she was referring to 'Angela' as it's not a clickable link and is generally in the centre of the home page at the bottom.
