In the examples you posted, they setup background images on some of the main page elements to get the effects you're seeing. For example the http://natnaiel.com/ site is using this image as the background for the #wrapper selector:

I see that you've switched to the Liquorice theme. To change the background color for the main content column in the Liquorice theme, add this to your Appearance → Custom Design → CSS editor:

#primary-content {
	background: #fff;
	padding: 1em;
	border-radius: 6px;
	margin-top: 60px;
}

I am trying to change the post area (white notebook looking area) of the blog. I am looking at the examples given to me: http://natnaiel.com/ and http://rafaelalburquerque.com/ . I understand that they did a lot more than just change the post area, and that the post area is a picture (I think)..but how can I go about making some changes to the colors/post area? I did change the post area to all black when I was playing around with it, but the bottom of the "white notebook" was still showing, as if it was a separate graphic. Any help in customizing my Greyzed theme…? Thanks!
