If you don't have the Custom Design upgrade, you can't change or remove it. You don't see it on the demo because the demo has no header image.

I actually don't know and haven't done any of the coding, though if that's the way it's fixed - I'll buckle up and give it a go. I'm using the Clean Home (http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/clean-home/) theme, and as you can see in their view - you don't see that black line.

I've been looking everywhere for a way to get rid of that black bar below the 'about' button and above the blog's name, Jen&Ro.

I didn't see that bar in the demo of the theme & I have been scouring the menu's to figure out how to remove it with no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
