Ah! You're wonderful; thanks so much, Kathryn! I appreciate all of your hand-holding and dealing with everything in this one thread, rather than sending me back into the forum ethers.

Consider this one resolved. Have a good week!

Hi there, I've transferred your email subscribers as requested.

If you really want the handful comments you can always add them manually by copying-pasting them. :-)

Good luck with the new site!

Okay... modlook tagged and JetPack's installed on the new site. I'd like to have the email subscribers from http://nerkasalmon.wordpress.com/ moved over to http://www.teleaadsen.com.

All good?

Staff can can move your email subscribers only. Followers using the WordPress.com Reader cannot be transferred because there is no WordPress.org Reader or in fact a community with shared in-house features like there is here at WordPress.com.

What's required is:
installation and activation of the JetPack plugin;
posting both URLs for the underlying .wordpress.com blog and the domain into this forum thread;
tagging the thread with modlook in the sidebar;
subscribing to the thread so you are notified when Staff make the transfer.

Thanks again, Kathryn. It didn't exactly work, but I stopped stressing over a handful of comments and am fine with what is.

Now that the .org site is live (www.teleaadsen.com), I'd like to move all of the http://nerkasalmon.wordpress.com followers over. Being able to communicate with you has been great - any chance you can help me with this, or do I need to create a new thread and hope for the best? :)

Thanks, Kathryn! Watching everything vanish sounds scary, but probably for the best. Guidance for how to delete all of the .org blog posts/comments, without impacting any of the other page content on that site?

Thanks!

Hi there, since the two sites are now out of synch, you may want to empty out your .org site completely and re-import all posts, pages and comments - that would probably be the simplest route.

Just let me know if you need further help.

Hi all -

I've had my wp.com, http://nerkasalmon.wordpress.com/, for 2 years, and am in the process of moving everything to wp.org, http://www.teleaadsen.com. I did the .com export / .org import process last weekend, and was happy to see all of my old posts appear, intact with photos, videos and comments. Great!

But the .org site isn't live publicly yet - not quite ready - so readers have continued commenting on the .com blog. Last night I did the import / export thing again to update all of the new comments, but no success this time - new site appears the same, without any of the additional comments. What's that about, and how can I make it right?

Thanks much, and best new year's wishes -
T
