Especially since a lot of writers (me included) carry a pen and paper notepad with them all of the time.

Every operating system has at least one and there are even more on the internet like for example evernote.

What do YOU think?

I am a minimalist. I use draft posts, remember the milk and toodle-do to do lists. I don't want anything additional on my dashboard that duplicates those or the notebook in my operating system.

I think it would be easier of WP put a notepad app in - just a little icon next to the top left W, with a plain text editor for you to type small blog titles or something.
