Now that I figured it out, I don't know why is was such a problem. But I was awfully frustrated.

Easiest way to get image dimensions it to right click on the image and hit view. The dimension should show in the browser bar.

628x130 is the featured.
190x100 is sub featured.

When you create a post there is an option for selecting the Feature Image. It is in the Right column near the boot.

Font color is under the Typography

I signed up for a test version at woothemes.com It has all the functionality.
It expires in 10 or 14 days,

Your theme is a premium theme and when you purchased it what came with that purchase was support directly from the theme designer.
