@mujew: If you don't mind the trouble, you can add nav tabs manually, by putting this at the end of each post (in the html editor):

Next Post

Previous Post

Thanks very much for all the advice and tips. I tried the method suggested and posted smaller images on the front page - doesn't look bad. I will follow up with staff to see if they can add back/forward post navigation - that would make it an ideal photoblog template.

The Categories widget also helps.

By the way, that's not something unusual: you get no previous/next nav tabs on single posts in 48 out of the 82 themes currently available.

There's really nothing to fix. This is how the template works. The Recent Posts Widget does help, though.

If you want to suggest this to Staff, the best way would be to either contact them directly with your request via the contact form, or post this in the Ideas forum. :)

BTW-here's a tip for posting the actual photo on the front page of Hemingway (and I agree, it's one of the nicest photo potential templates here.) http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/hemingway?replies=12#post-158700

Hi,

I have been using hemingway with an experimental photoblog. I think the minimal look, black and white and black background are excellent and better than the photoblog template (for me). The one problem is you can't go back or forward to view the older or more recent posts. If you want to see others you have to go to main page every time, which drives visitors crazy and then away. Is there a way to fix that to add "previous post" and "next post" clickers (you can tell I am technically savvy)? If not, if the WordPress people are reading this, is there a way for you to add that feature to the template, please, pretty please?

Thanks for the ability to photoblog here.
