Widgets are usually site-wide. That said, Custom Design might let you do that (since each page *type* has its own CSS class)

I looked at several tutorials and it appears that I either need to have a self hosted site so that I can use the Plugin feature or I need to know html. If I can use html, which of course I am unfamiliar with :( , would I need to use the Custom Design > CSS page? If so, what code would I use? Thank you so much for any assistance you can provide. I greatly appreciate it.
