Yes, just replace the image portion of the code with the text you would rather have in there.

I tried just to make an email me widget, without image, and couldn't get it to work. I wanted to click the widget and have it link to my email address. Is this possible?

FWIW...

I have a clickable email image on my blog.

I used this site to make the image

http://pribadi.or.id/email/

I've also used this site for an email image for other blogs

http://services.nexodyne.com/email/index.php

And I used this site to munge the address

http://www.addressmunger.com/

(and I just checked the account again today... no spam in the last week, so it appears the munge is working... no guarantees it'll stay spam free though.)

Just make sure you choose the "ASCII Munge (Simple)" option. The javascript one won't work here.

no, only text. if you want them to send you images, you have to put your email address and get them to email you manually (ie via their email and not the contact form).

can the contact form email enable emailers to attach images? or audio?
i would love to ask bloggers i like to send me an "icon" of their blog, for me to use under related posts.

no problem. i should've thought of the contact form the first time around. it's actually better than the email link because then you reader won't have to open up his/her email. it also protects from revealing your email address should you want it to be confidential.

i guess i can live without an "email me" img. actually i like the contact-form kinda email better bcos in that way i don't have to use up a text widget.

1. yes, you upload your image in the editor, as if you're writing a new post.

2. to go to editor, go to dashboard, select write

3. & 4. i don't understand what you're saying here (i don't use this e-mail link myself). i assume that you have the code since you're thinking of making one... (if you have the code pls paste it here)

also you can create a contact form, which will go directly to your e-mail. you can only make this in a page or post, but not a text widget. http://faq.wordpress.com/2007/05/13/how-do-i-make-a-contact-form/

but i don't understand completely.
can you or anyone walk me through it please?

1. where should i upload my image? did you mean in a post?

2.where can i find my "blog editor create"?

3.i don't know how to find the "email me" link. is it the one written in the bigger dialog box
when the text widget opens? i have another "email me" in the smaller box too.

4.where should i paste it? in the small one-line dialog box above or the bigger one below?

upload the image you want, then in your blog editor create put the image in the email me link, then paste it in the text widget.

i have created an "email me" link via a text widget. but i don't quite like it because it has not one, but TWO, "email me" texts -- one of them is hyperlinked.

is there a way that i can replace the hyperlinked "email me" text with a hyperlinked image?
