It seems to me that the only foolproof way is to export the photos to a known folder before trying to use the upload agent. Failing that, drag&drop from iPhoto into the upload box.

I really wish there was a slick OSX app for WordPress even if it wasn't free. C'mon guys, some of us still blog from a laptop.
