Use the Twitter widget. And get the code for your Facebook Badge and put it in a text widget.

Ok thanks for that info, but I was talking more of the links to my facebook and twitter page-- maybe I'm saying it wrong---

Easy!

Go to Dashboard->Settings->Sharing and drag whichever sharing services you want into the active area. You can even add whatever else you want this way:

I'm trying not to pay to have my blog done but I'm having a hard time trying to add facebook and twitter icon links to my page. Can someone help?
