Ah, I see. That's alright, in that case. Thank you so much for looking into it!

Yeah, we decided to scrap the slideshow idea altogether, and just make the blog the landing page for the site, rather that using a static home page.

Thanks again.

OK, I see what they are doing. The problem is those techniques in all browsers from what I can see (doesn't work in any version of IE or Opera). IE still accounts for over 46% of web users so 46% of web users would not be able to see your CSS slideshow.

CSS3 animations and transitions are simply not something you can reliably use right now.

That requires scripting (PHP, javascript, flash) and we cannot use those here for security reasons.

Also, CSS is simply a styling document that the browsers use to place and style elements of a web page. It cannot be used to add or change functionality.

Hi all,

I'm wondering if there is a way to create slideshows using the custom CSS form (I have the upgrade, and my website is http://www.nyudri.org).

I'd like to have a slideshow where each image hyperlinks to different pages on my site (so it works like a preview section). The standard slideshow feature does not support this. There are ways to create slideshows using pure CSS, but I'm able to get them to work:

http://css-tricks.com/13627-infinite-all-css-scrolling-slideshow/

http://www.webresourcesdepot.com/create-a-slideshow-with-pure-css-easily/

http://tutorialzine.com/2009/11/beautiful-apple-gallery-slideshow/

Help! Or am I just barking up a tree that's just not compatible with what I want to be doing?

Thanks,
Vivek
