We have attempted to remove the original user from our account, but the site will not allow us to. This user created our blog,

Every reference I've seen says that can't be done.

The original user can transfer ownership to you however.

To be able to continue to use WordPress in the future for our blog site we must be able to delete him off the account, and change the account information to the division supervisor's.
