You do not have to use the Archives widget. You can create a page and then use the archives shortcode on it.

I run a webzine called Welcome to Wherever and other than creating a PDF of all the content for each month's edition, is there anyway to archive the entire site each month?

I have a lot of writers who would like to be able to reference the site and point people back to it to show their contributions.
