I wanted to start an entirely different blog, but after I created it I realized that I was logged into my own account. I wanted to set up a completely different account. So, I finally figured out how to delete the new blog and create it with it's own account, but now I've lost the domain name. Can I get it back or is there just no hope? It was free...sad day.

Ok is I suppose they have to do something to keep their admin time down. The wordpress service is excellent in all other respects so I dont mind.

It won't be released unfortunately. The address has been used and the wp.com team will not release used addresses.

I'm not sure I like the idea, but that's the way it is. I suspect it would cause a large amount of work for the team to release every deleted blog for re-use.

You might send feedback and ask if there's any chance, but don't get your hopes up.

I would really like the domain **blanked-out**.wordpress.com but at the moment it says,

"This user has elected to delete their account and the content is no longer available"

How long does it take for this domain name to be released for me to register?

Or is there another way I can get it?
