With the McAfee thing, what exactly were you trying to get done? Most blog directories don't make you put a file right in the core of your blog; even Google only makes you post it in a blog post, which you can then delete.

As long as you're on Google and Technorati and maybe MyBlogLog, you're probably okay. Register at MSN and Yahoo as well and the others should find you soon enough.

That is support for wordpress installed on other hosts. If you are hosted on wordpress.com, we wouldn't be able to do that.
