You add tables to pages the same way you add tables to a post. You switch to the HTML tab and either write the table code, or paste it in if you use another source to create the code.

How exactly are you trying to do the tables?

But the problem I have it only seems to work when creating a new post.

Ideally, I want to be able to create/add a New Page which has HTML.
