<p>But there's a 25 Mb limit on your wordpress.com blog for all of your images and posts. Much less of a hassle to start out hosting the images elsewhere.</p>
<p>Also, 50k is a bit optimistic. Flickr uses 200-250k image size for their default versions.</p>
<p>I just know that a friend of mine (<a href="http://omgkitties.wordpress.com" rel="nofollow">http://omgkitties.wordpress.com</a>) was going with the "upload to wordpress" method at the start and she ran into all kinds of headaches. Using Flickr from the start for hosting is a lot less time consuming in the long run.

<p>If you wanted to provide a link to a larger version, <em>then</em> use flickr, but otherwise there's no need.
