Be aware that if you change you blog address and your content has been indexed by search engines then every link to it in Google and elsewhere on the internet will be broken. When the original links are clicked those who click them will experience a 404 (page not found). Also be aware that if you blog had authority in its niche and page rank previously when you chanrge the URL it is all lost. The new site with the same content starts over again from zero.

Hi,

I was wondering if it's possible to change the name of your blog in the address bar? I know I can change the name in the general settings but I need it to happen in the web bar too. I just thought of a good name for my wordpress site, but don't want to have to start all over again...

Is this at all possible?

Thanks,
Steph
