So a bod could start a Private blog, and visit it repeatedly, building up thousands of hits, and then go Public and look like a swarmed-over somebody (rather that a warmed-over nobody)! Amazing... If you are actually referring to a free hosted WordPress.com blog, and if your blog is a private blog then your own visits are being recorded when you are logged in and this cannot be changed. If you have a public blog hosted by WordPress.com then your visits to the blog are not being recorded when you are logged in. http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/
