It will take anywhere from a few hours to as many as 72 for the propagation to take place. How soon you will see the change is entirely dependent on how often your ISP updates their nameserver caches. Some do that often and regularly, but some only every couple or few days.

some days ago I bought the domain on wordpress and then I bought a host on Hostgator specifying the host on which I already own a domain and then typing one I already purchased. I have to specify that I firstly create a blog on wordpress with a free domain (ilarialattanziphotographer.wordpress.com) and then I turned it into ilarialattanziphotographer.com.

Since I would like to install a WordPress theme on my site, I read that the only way was to have a host. The problem is that it seems that the domain and host are "disconnected" from them .. how can I do to solve the problem?
