I don't understand why WordPress doesn't offer the possibility to delete subscribers..

Public blogs are "public" and any public blog that offers email and/or RSS Feed subscriptions offers them to all. Anyone can subscribe to an RSS Feed and use a feedreader to read posts and comments on any public blog. Any deleted email subscriber could simply subscribe again as we can all get a new email address and/or IP very easily.

If you enable blog subscriptions by email on a public blog there is no way to block any subscribers, other than changing your blog’s visibility to “private”. Moreover, anyone can subscribe to a public blog's feed. However, you do have complete control over approving comments.
