the following article describes what I want to do which, essentially, is to get my image next to google results that display results from my wordpress blog

other stuff also needs doing in google+ but the sticking point seems to be the need to add a piece of html which i'm not sure wordpress can let me do. it would be something like:

i think also there needs to be some social setting that allows auto publishing to google plus pages along with linkedin, facebook etc but that's another story
