Troubleshooting
Please note that WordPress.com does not provide support for Google services other than its initial setup with our custom domain upgrade. You can refer to their support documentation for help on how to use Google Apps Email service.

What I am having trouble with now is setting up my email at my domain using Google Apps.

I called Go Daddy (where my domain is registered and who used to host my website and email) and they told me in order to complete the Google Apps email set up I need to change my "MX records back to Go Daddy." He also gave me this information:

MX 1 SMTP.SECURESERVER.NET
MX 2 MAILSTORE1.SECURESERVER.NET

I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do with that information, but I tried to enter it into my edit/change DNS Records in my WordPress dashboard where it told me the format was correct and saved as a new record.

Then I was told in order to verify ownership to my domain with Google Apps I need to create a CNAME record with Go Daddy. When I tried to follow the directions to do that I came to a dead end because my DNS is not hosted at Go Daddy.

I am really stuck and beginning to become frustrated with this as I just want to get my email back up and running properly for my business.

Please help.
