>blockquote> Or is there a way I can add a date stamp to posts under the "Recent Posts" widget?

The URL for all posts includes the date the post was published like this: http://blogname.wordpress.com/2008/11/30/post-title/

The URL for all pages do not include the date as static pages are intended to be used for content that rarely, if ever, changes. Therefore the page URL looks like this: http://blogname.wordpress.com/page-title/

See > http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/

The default sidebar items are artificially generated from the theme's underlying files; as you've found, they aren't always identical to the standard widgets you can activate. As far as I know, you can't have what you're looking for once you activate any widgets yourself.

Hi everyone:

I'm trying to find a way to keep the default "Recent Entries" widget in Pearson's Cutline theme. The "Recent Entries" widget shows up in the sidebar before you personalize your widgets in Cutline, but disappears when you select your own. I prefer the "Recent Entries" widget to the similar "Recent Posts" widget, because the former includes a date stamp after the post entry. (E.g., "This is a post. 2.16")

Does anyone know how I can add the "Recent Entries" widget back to Cutline? Or is there a way I can add a date stamp to posts under the "Recent Posts" widget?

Thanks so much for your help!
Sarah
