Thanks! I figured that must be the case for the pics....but I wanted to double check that I wasn't just missing something before I went through the effort.

Thanks also for telling me about the widgets.

My blog is very simple so I think that should take care of it...

Other thing to keep in mind: if you switch to a differently designed theme, the widgets you have added may disappear. In that case you go to Appearance > Widgets and drag them back from Inactive to Sidebar.

When you change themes you do need to create and upload new headers and featured images in accord with the dimensions specified by the new theme.

Sorry, I'm a newbie and this is probably a stupid question. I just got my first blog up and running in January, I am using twenty eleven, but I dislike the infinite scrolling they just switched to. So I want to switch to a new theme - I know how to do that, but when I tried, I noticed, though I still have my whole media library intact, I don't see an option for using those already cropped images for my custom header. It seems I have to download them all again from my computer and re-crop again? If you know the answer to that - and anything else I might need to keep in mind when switching themes, please let me know. I know I could spend a lot of time looking this up - but it seems it's already going to take some extra time just to set stuff up with a new theme, so if anyone has fast tips/pointers, I would really appreciate it. I switched my theme back to twenty eleven for now, becuase once I switched to a different one my blog didn't look right, and I didn't have time to fix it all up right now.

Thanks for your help :-)
