You can look at Clicks on your stats and keep a running tally in a text file or something, but there is no automated way to do that on the WordPress side. There might be on the Dropbox side.

Thanks, but did you even read my question?

I know the file types that are supported. As I stated in my original post, I need to provide a link to a ZIP file for my viewers to download. Because it is not an allowed file type, I plan to host it on Dropbox, and put a link on a blog page.

My question is, how can I track how many people have clicked on the download link?

I need to provide a Zip file for my viewers to download, so, since this file type isn't allowed, I thought I would use my Dropbox account to host it.

I would like to learn about the best way to track how many people download the file... place it on its own page?

Thanks!
