Pinterest is photo boards. I'm not sure what you are referring to about eCommerce, but it is essentially blogging in pictures and is an accepted social media site just like twitter and facebook.

Please can someone add it as an enhancement request for wordpress sites to work with pinterest for business.

You allow google apps for business to be verified why not other services?

This is a multi-user blogging platform. As our blogs are not free standing we cannot access metadata and add anything to it or edit it. For that kind of verification access you will need to hire a web hosted and set up your own independent WordPress.org install.

I'm sorry but this isn't a WordPress.com issue per say. Please read what's at these relevant reference links:
http://wordpress.com/types-of-blogs/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/advertising/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/affiliate-links/
http://en.wordpress.com/tos/

Our free hosted WordPress.com blogs cannot be equipped with shopping carts for ecommerce transactions. On free hosted WordPress.com blog we can use a contact form and/or a PayPal donation button ONLY for the sale of products or services created or provided by ourselves.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/paypal/

There is no upgrade you can purchase form WordPress.com that changes what I posted above. However, there are no eCommerce restrictions if you hire a web host and set up your own self hosted WordPress.org install. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
