This is clearly designed into WordPress.com as an incentive for you to make original posts.

Thank you for the answer, raincoaster.
I was just wandering why, if I add some relevant content commenting the post I reblogged, the content itself can't receive Like (as it happens, in fact, according to my dashboard).
Here an example:

On which I received three Likes, unfortunately invisible to anyone.

You will never see Likes on reblogs. The Likes go to the original posts only, for reasons I would have thought were obvious. Why should someone get credit for reblogging something someone else has done?

Although I've turned on WordPress.com Likes on for all posts, I cannot see any of Likes I receive on my posts reblogging other's posts.
Can you help me? Thank you,
