So, okay, what I'm doing right now is transferring all my blogs from thmannis to another user name on wordpress.com, and then I will delete the thmannis account. The blog that I want to unlink from is a wordpress.COM blog, and I no longer have any admin rights there. SO, I would think that deleting the thmannis account, which that blog is linked to, would work. Right? :-)

The e-mail address registered with your WordPress.com account is your unique identifier. When logged in under that username every blog regsitered is registered to that username and that email address.

To completely disassociate two blogs currently registered to the same username we register another username with a different email address, while we are logged out of WordPress.com. Then we add the new username as an Admin to the blog we want to transfer to that username, and use this process to transfer the blog to a new username account.

Hello, I originally set up a username 'alisonforbes' and business blog called 'Making Shift Happen' (now hidden) under domain alisonforbes.wordpress.com
I have now set up a personal blog thepoliticalshopper.wordpress.com which i wanted under its own username / login of 'thepoliticalshopper.
For some reason the two accounts are linked. I can only access The Political Shopper blog by logging in as alisonforbes in my old account. (My Blogs shows both my new blog and the original one under the same account).
When i try to log in with username 'thepoliticalshopper' it doesnt recognise the password I set up, and password reset comes through as for account alisonforbes.
How can I separate my new blog from my old blog and keep both but with zero links or visibility of 'alisonforbes' or 'alisonforbes.wordpress.com' on my gravatar, comments info etc when i use my new blog?
Cheers
Alison
